Welcome message - Dr. Reza Momeni

A little about me: I grew in Philadelphia suburbs, and stayed around for college and medical school.  I trained in general surgery and plastic surgery at Yale University.  I started my practice with Summit Health in New Jersey in 2004, and for many years served as the Section Chief of Plastic Surgery at Overlook Medical Center, in Summit, New Jersey.  

My patients come from all over, but mostly from the New York City metro area.  My  expertise is in the aesthetic surgery of the face and body, performing mostly cosmetic  surgery of the face, breasts and abdomen. 

I believe honesty and clarity are the cornerstones of the doctor-patient relationship.  My team and I place a strong focus on understanding the goals and expectations of patients.  We give honest and personalized recommendations to each patient, with an emphasis on balancing safety with results.

In addition to surgery, I spend lot of time helping my patients with non-surgical treatments for facial rejuvenation. We offer advanced experience with the following treatments:

• Fraxel laser and Ultherapy skin tightening
• TCA chemical peels

Dr. Momeni is very grateful not only to his wonderful patients of many years for having voted him as a top-rated plastic surgeon, but also to his physician colleagues who choose him for their own families' plastic surgery needs.  The Consumer Research Council has listed Dr. Momeni in “Top Plastic Surgeons in America,” and he has been voted by his peers as a New Jersey Monthly “Top Doctor” every year since 2007.

Castle Connolly has also added Dr. Momeni to their Castle Connolly Top Plastic Surgeons list. 

For many years in the 2000s and 2010s, Dr. Momeni volunteered internationally with nonprofit organizations to provide free surgery for children with cleft lips and palates as well as burn victims. For this work, he was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2009.
